Cocoa Dreams is a drama set in Muhoroni, Kenya, following a female nuclear physicist who returns home to transform her family's sugar farm into a cocoa farm. It speaks directly to Kenya's national cocoa farming initiative, and to enduring themes of land, legacy, and the resilience of Kenyan women.
The film has completed two successful theatrical runs in Kenya and is currently on a European diaspora tour, with stops in Amsterdam (25 August) and Copenhagen (27–28 August) ahead of its Vienna premiere, before continuing to the United States in late September.
