This season, the Lab’ brings back the true Elizabethan spirit of a timeless Shakespearean Comedy!
From 12 to 18 June 2026, Lab’Oratoire presents The Taming of the Shrew: a bold & explosive reimagining of Shakespeare’s most controversial comedy! The play will be perfrormed in French, with modern English surtitles.
Our aim is clear: to bring Shakespeare back to life for its original purpose, not as dry literature to be studied, but as living theater made for the audience. A space of rhythm, laughter, cries, screams, colors, bold characters, and unapologetic drama. We want to break the idea that classics are distant or outdated. Our production restores the raw vitality of Elizabethan theater and merges it with our present reality, our struggles, our relationships, our contradictions.
