The Chineke! Orchestra is the first professional symphony orchestra in Europe largely made up of people of colour and members of ethnic minorities. Founded in 2015, it is now performing in Vienna for the first time.

About the event
The programme opens with Four Black American Dances by young composer Carlos Simon, then centres on Symphony No. 1 in E Minor by Florence B. Price — the first work by an African-American female composer to be performed by a large symphony orchestra. British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's violin concerto concludes the night. A historic first for Vienna. Absolutely worth attending!!
